BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Qi received his Bachelor of Medicine from the Beijing Medical University and Ph.D. in Pathology from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. After postdoctoral training at NIH, he joined the School of Medicine, Tsinghua University in 2009, where he is currently a Professor in Immunology. He has made important contributions to our understanding of germinal center biology, T cell-B cell interactions, B-cell immune memory, and neuroimmune regulation of humoral immunity. Dr. Qi is an HHMI International Research Scholar and a New Cornerstone Investigator, and he has received numerous awards including the 2018 AAI-BD Investigator Award.

Talk title: Neuronal control of B cell immunity: how and why

I will present our published and unpublished work pertaining to how and why antibody immunity is regulated by the brain in response to external conditions.
